PLAC III project extended until July 2021
The Policy and Legal Advice Centre (PLAC III) project has been extended for one year and its implementation will continue until July 2022.
The project has started in January 2019 with a planned duration of 30 months and a budget of EUR 3,763,300. Due to a postponement of the activities and a pause in the project implementation from March to June 2020, the extension of the project duration is being requested by the beneficiary institution, with an aim to continue the efficient implementation of the project activities. In addition, the project beneficiaries have expressed interest for additional activities in covered chapters.
During the additional 12 months of project implementation, activities will be organized in areas covered by two additional negotiating chapters – Chapter 10 (Information Society and Media) and Chapter 13 (Fisheries). Thus, the total number of negotiation chapters covered by the project and representing priority areas of work increased to 13. The project plan envisages a total of 83 activities in all negotiation chapters, of which 60 have already been completed. The biggest number of completed activities was related to the Negotiation Chapter 12 (Food Safety, Veterinary and Fitosanitary policy) and Chapter 27 (Environment and Climate Change).
The total budget of the project has been changed and now amounts to EUR 3,623,220.
